Adobe premiere pro is still the video editing king software among the freelancers and the marketing/creative agencies out there in India.

The number one reason is being the only available software widely available on the both OS systems, Mac and Windows.
People somehow figure out to get the cracked version of the software.
Even though Davinci resolve is available out there for free but both the Mac and windows ecosystem, people are still preferring the Adobe due to it’s well known user interface usability and similar operation, shortcuts and tools in it’s software’s like Photoshop, Premiere Pro and after effects etc.
After the introduction of Generative AI and other features in Adobe softwares, it has made the editor lives much simpler to export a project as faster as possible without putting maximum manual effort.
Coming to the Final Cut software which is only available on ios devices is not at all accessible to a larger audience of editing fraternity, so there’s no question of being the top preferred tool of the industry.
But Davinci is been trying hard, making itself capable doing both the non-linear editing and visual effects a single software whereas Adobe is still trying to do it with multiple sotwares like Premiere pro and after effects.
This is where Premiere pro, is not the first choice of new comers or the GenZ. They are preferring Davinci over premiere pro because of it’s pricing which is free initially for small projects without any ifs and buts by the company and without any watermarks.
Coming to the main drawback of the Premiere pro is it’s not cheap, but people somehow manage to download the software illegally from various online websites and start using it.
The another big reason of this tool being popular is the wide availablity of LUTs and Presets like different traisitions and effects library compared to other softwares like davinci resolve and final cut pro.
Even if you agree or not Davinci Resolve is a very heavy software, and it demands a big configuration for your PC, but Premiere Pro even works on a 4GB PC, although the render time could be horrible in these small configured PCs.
When people start learning more of Davinci Resolve or going for mac or ios ecosystem, no doubt there’s a huge chance of switching the software preferences for a better smooth workflow.
