dont' fall in the trap of a job

To whom so ever it may concern.

If you are from India and trying to land your dream job, this article is for you.

There is nothing like a dream job. Everywhere you go, you will get the same treatment. After all, you are not doing charity, you will get paid for your time dedicated to that organisation, or the amount of risk and effort you are putting in towards the growth of that organisation.

India is a diverse country with various career opportunities, but new job aspirants try to go for government jobs only. The main reason is the stability and dignity in the society you get out of.

Generally, they are paid very less than the experienced personnel working in the private sector.

Even in my early times after my college, applied for Civil Services Exam and even given two attempts but cleared none of them.

Family in India mostly belong to the middle-class fraternity. They are the people who just work and eat to survive the very next day. They are not very futuristic.

But the youngsters are super optimistic and confident, they are trying to change their fate by working hard and doing something good in their life, that will bring their family out of poverty and can fulfil some basic aspirations like having their own house, own vehicle, or fulfilling basic necessities of life easily.

In India, the education system is very poor. They teach you to memorize some text and vomit them in the exam sheet every semester.

Some hard and soft skills are taught in college only, for eg. computing, coding, mechanical and technical skills.

But a majority of Indian families couldn’t afford college for their kids because of the high cost of education.

So after basic education, every student aspires to get a government job, which can help them make their stable and good enough in the near future.

But after the boom of the Internet and the JIO revolution, youth in India is now trying to go online and make themselves better and give their family a happy life.

They are learning their skills online through youtube, they are communicating on WhatsApp, Facebook, and even applying for corporate jobs on Linkedin. This is a new phenomenon that is rapidly changing the work culture of our country.

The high-income individuals and entrepreneurs are going public and teaching the real definition of success in life.

After shark tank India, and the startup culture booming in India, every youth or who is also known as GenZ is trying to go for this career opportunity rather than following the old traditional methods to opt for government jobs.

But some people are getting trapped in it due to a toxic lifestyle. After getting a decent job with a decent income they are opting for spending more rather than saving as it was more during their parent’s tenure.

They are spending on their experiences, and developing a habit to eat outside. And getting used to credit cards, EMIs and luxury purchases.

And these habits get them trapped into a lifecycle where they get deeper and deeper every single month.

These financial traps are not the only ones. After a certain point, they stop upskilling them. Which is vital to give a boost to their career.

While they have many aspirations to start something on their own and depend upon no one, it just fades out like a dream.

Financial disciplines like making a habit of saving, investing, and insurance for self and family like term insurance, and health insurance; upskilling constantly along with the trend and learning new age skills is the major key for personal and professional growth and absolutely this is the way forward.

And along with that no offence but we should consider consulting with our parents, friends or family who we trust most in our life, in a point where we feel stuck due to some issues, then it’s gonna help.

Generally, we tend to believe that we are inevitable and we know everything. But that’s not true.

So what’s the solution to becoming trap free?

Start slow, Research your field, and Write down your strength and weaknesses with a pen and paper. Evaluate them. Find your ikigai.

Look at the things that need to start instantly. And then keep working on them. Take senior’s advice, check the internet, and ask forums for career and professional advice.

Using the internet in a positive way, listening to music, starting working out doing some basic stuff like walking two kilometres every day, cycling, eating healthy, or doing Yoga or a basic workout is more than enough.

Drink a lot of water. Eat home food. Get enough sleep. Read more. Watch more useful content. Spend on your expenses but plan your finance first.

Save at least 20% of your income every month and try to invest more every consecutive month.

Money gets happiness, it’s true. By developing the above activities every single day and practicing these without failure, we are going to make it very soon.

Wishing you all the best.
