Government of India needs to take steps now
The gen Z protests from Nepal is an evident fact we saw that youngsters can’t tolerate the ban on social media and can agitate and go to any extent to fulfill their demand.
But if government gives orders to such extreme content showing platforms to remove such features where short form videos are shown, or ban them, rather banning all social media platforms could show a clear direction.
Short form video-based content is the slow poison in the human brains
They shorten the attention span of human brains. The discipline level, consistency, focus, attention everything gets reduced. Because they are unable to tolerate anything beyond 20 to 30 seconds.
Even in some worst cases they are even not looking at them, just swiping up every 2 seconds to meet their dopamine demand, which is a very serious mental disease!
In the short form videos, the videos are extremely happy, blessed, travel based, fake emotions based, perfect lives, shocking moments, extreme happy, extreme sad, and the extreme background music create the instant dopamine satisfaction among a common user.
And this makes them feel smaller and gets them addicted to their phone screens like a drug or alcohol addiction.
So, what’s the solution?
We can’t depend upon the government or authorities to take the step, because by then it’ll be too late.
We should start caring about our lives. We should be able to live in the moment. Our present decides our future so if everyone will be busy in crafting a good present for a better future, ultimately everything will be good.
Along with the government actions and restrictions, we as humans should strive towards the reality of life. Should look our life as it is.
We all have our own sorrows, happiness, high moments and low moments, but they are not instant 30 second based, they happen with everyone, many of the short form video creators are even mentally depressed or just creating videos for the sake of it.
Books guide us towards a better personality, thought leadership, and overall well being.
Taking a walk, talking to friends, peers and our family members can ease things a lot.
Even video is not a bad medium at all. YouTube long form videos teach us a lot! We can get inspired from other’s failures, successes, learn skills, and can get guided and mentored.
But what are we doing? Ultimately, it’s our decision to shape our life. Nobody will and nobody can.
Reading articles, blogs, text based content, books shape our thinking capacity, strengthen our nervous system and increases our ability to decide what is better for us, ultimately, our present and future as well.
So, after all this I came to this verdict that if people are ready to take the next step that if humans are ready to make better progress, which the billionaires are already doing in India & abroad, and if they are ready to take control, to learn, to rectify, to earn, have a better sustainable life, then there’re nothing better than to consume text based content.
And there’s no way possible that video content can replace text-based content.
I’ve said many times that even though many Instagrammers and YouTube content creators are sayingthat WordPress is dead. But in reality, it’s serving more than 40% websites on the Internet!

We have known the Jolly LLB franchise, where the makers try to tell a very in depth and meaningful story in a very satirical and funny way to entertain and educate the audience is just makes them standout from any other courtroom drama.
Jolly LLB 3 is a very good movie. Each and every character has played their role very well, not just Akshay Kumar, or Arshad Warsi. Saurabh Shukla was the real star of the movie.
His character of a judge was an epic as usual, but in such a satirical way that we can relate him to the real-life judges we see in the YouTube court room live streaming videos.
No non-sense, VFX or CGI, it’s absolutely 100% storytelling in it’s real sense.
It makes you think deep inside.
The case in the court was name “Janki Rajaram Solanki” vs “Imperial Group of Industry”, a high court room drama, was built slowly to the climax of such a dramatic end yet with so much of humor, wit and laughs throughout.
Especially both the main lawyer characters Advocate Jagdishwar Mishra (Akshay Kumar) and Advocate Jagdish Tyagi (Arshad Warsi) (Jolly and Jolly) were truly playing their characters to their level best.
The dialogues written were very very good, unlike other movies, they had the depth, especially there’ll be a scene of an old man in the village of Rajasthan, it’s a crucial scene of the movie, he’ll do something after writing something in his diary.
And that writing is just outstanding, make you feel deep inside. It’ll make you think about many contemporary issues, and truly leave a lasting impact inside.
Even the BGM / background score is also very much engaging.
It’s a highly recommended movie, must watch along with your friends, family and peers.
If I’ll rate a good 4 out 5 stars to the movie. A must watch!
Social media is so toxic that it makes the start and end of your day and eventually making whole day bad along with your mood and emotions too.
Especially the platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube as well, make you feel very much stressed through the content you see, because in India social media is full negative, sad, stressful content, which make you stressed eventually.
Being happy is very easy nowadays, you don’t any therapist, or any comedy show, you just need to stay away from social media.
People suggest that you should avoid your smart phone, But I don’t believe in that, because in today’s digital world, Staying connected with a smart phone is very important.

Start with a WordPress website
yes, there’re many CMS in the market but WordPress is the oldest and most effective one, it caters around 40% of the websites worldwide.
Most dynamic and easy to learn for anyone who knows basic English. I always believe in freedom for everyone in everything, from your personal life to personal branding, you must have control over everything.
Your social media you suppose are under your control, actually that’s not the actual case. If you’re using it for free, then my dear friend you’re the product there.
You’re shown with multiple ads to sell various different products and services, to grow the net worth of the platform.
More user engagements mean more traffic and more ad revenue and more company growth in their net worth.
What do you get from social media?
A temporary satisfaction! Yes, a dopamine release, that you achieved certain number of subscribers. But is that really your subscribers?
HELL NO!
You can’t migrate those followers to other mediums or platforms, because you’re not allowed to do so!
You’re just a puppet, you agree or not, Being a digital marketer, even though I’m serving multiple corporates and helping them get sales through social media, but personally I don’t believe in being on other social media platforms and creating content there to grow their own platforms/websites.
That’s why I have this small blog website, where I write with open hearts, can sell whatever I want, and nobody takes my big chunk of revenue like YouTube or other platforms does.
I can sell courses, products, services, consultations, write blogs, and more, at what cost? For a very little annual cost, way less than anybody can afford if he or she is working and has a livelihood.
Understand the true internet
Internet was there before social media, and it’ll be there after social media as well.
Search engines like Google, Bing, Yandex and Baidu, don’t consider whether you’re creating on a social media platform or your own website, at the end, they crave for quality.
If your content has the guts to impress, educate or entertain others it is shown to other automatically through various means, which we’ll discuss some other day.
What if I want to choose something else, other than WordPress?
You Should! I recommended WordPress because it’s open source, and you own everything.
But if you’re technical savvy, and know coding, you should choose other platforms like Next JS or React etc. to manage things and to have a completely customized machine.
Don’t take me wrong, but for personal branding there’s no better option or choice than “WordPress”.
You can call me biased but yes, I’m, because I know and understand the real power of it. It can save you your lifetime of effort and save you from going extinct online due to some random strikes or social media bot ghosting you from getting views or making you slave of their algorithm game.
This is the ultimate truth. you become their slave. You forget your goal, your personal branding journey and dance with their algorithm to satisfy the mass who is their target audience and gets sales to their platforms.
But how to grow audience with a website?
Truely a valid question! But it’s very simple to grow your own audience. Through Newsletters, push notifications, or WhatsApp audience you can grow your prime audience on your website. and can reach instantly to all of your audience whenever you share content on the platform.
You’re not restricted by content types. For e.g. on YouTube, you have to share videos only, same as Instagram you have to share reels only, image posts don’t work there, in LinkedIn you have to share articles with images only.
But on your personal website, it’s you what matters. You can publish whatever you wish!
Video? Yes. Image? Yes. Text content? Hell Yes. So what not? Even your website gives an opportunity to embed other content from various different websites through their official APIs and embed code so that it becomes easier to create a digital hub for personal branding needs.
I know you’ll still not consider having your website, but the day you’ll get a hacking attempt on your social media, a down in your audience / subscribers list, an algorithm change, and suddenly you’re out of the game, you’ll remember of me and this article to have your own platform.
