This page is a practical route, not a second privacy policy. The itemised description of the data and the purposes is in the privacy notice. Consent can be changed directly at Privacy choices without emailing anyone.

1. Choose what you are asking for

  • Access: a summary of the personal data held about you and the processing activities, including who it was shared with (section 11 of the DPDP Act).
  • Correction, completion or updating: fix inaccurate or incomplete data (section 12).
  • Erasure: delete data for which you gave consent, or that was provided for an enquiry that is finished, unless retention is required by law or still needed for the purpose (sections 8 and 12).
  • Withdrawal: stop optional analytics or advertising. This is quickest at Privacy choices; you can also ask by email.
  • Nomination: name someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (section 14).
  • Grievance: complain about how a request or the site has been handled (section 13).

2. Email the request

Write to info@thekailashchandra.in with the subject line “DPDP request”.

Please include:

  • the right you want to use (access, correction, erasure, withdrawal, nomination or grievance);
  • the email address you used when contacting the site, if relevant;
  • the article, date or consent reference the request relates to;
  • what outcome you want.

If your request comes through Privacy choices, the reference shown on that page helps locate the consent record. Do not send a government identity document unless it is specifically requested; most requests can be handled from the email address alone.

3. What happens next

  1. The request is acknowledged and, if needed, a clarifying question is asked.
  2. The email, consent log and vendor-held records are checked. Because there are no user accounts, verification is usually limited to the email address and the context you provide.
  3. The data is provided, corrected, erased or the processing stopped. If a processor holds it, the request is passed on.
  4. You are told the outcome, or why a request cannot be met (for example, a legal retention duty or a legal claim).

The response window is 90 days, the outer limit in rule 14(3) of the DPDP Rules, 2025, and requests are handled sooner where possible. There is no charge.

4. If you are not satisfied

Reply to the same email with “Grievance” in the subject line and explain what is unresolved. The named person or role who handles privacy questions is Pending confirmation: to confirm; the published email is the interim route. This site does not claim to have a Data Protection Officer.

After the grievance route has been used, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Section 13(3) of the DPDP Act requires that step first. The Board’s filing mechanism is published through its official channels; use the current official portal or notice listed with MeitY’s Act and policies page. This page does not link to an unverified copy of the portal.

5. Erasure and the optional vendors

Turning off analytics or advertising stops the scripts loading. It does not automatically erase what a vendor already received. An erasure request is passed to the relevant processor where the site controls the record. Google and YouTube may hold data under their own terms; their privacy controls are linked from the cookies and storage page.
