SaaS reality in India!

SaaS reality in india

In the AI era, everyone is making something or other SaaS. Making SaaS platform is completely easier now.

A noncoder like me can make SaaS apps in few hours/days.

But dreaming of getting monetized is a whole different game.

Why? Because for that you’ll need marketing. the roadmap. the SEO.

and for SEO, you need Google’s help, but from my previous experience, I’ve seen, specifically SaaS products, google doesn’t promote Indian SaaS platforms.

Yes, it’s strange but true. I’ve developed two SaaS apps, but even though trying to index them and having the same domain and name on the keyword, and indexing in search console and trying multiple times, the US big alternatives only get indexed on top of google search.

So, what other alternatives left?

You pay google. Yes. Either you run SEM campaigns, or social media campaigns to get the users, which is horse shit.

It doesn’t work like that but most of the creators. They can’t afford to promote.

And this is the loop where they get stuck.

My suggestion will be if you’re serious enough on the app, do it. do it the best then the rest in the current market and promote rigorously.

Promote in the app’s official social channels, run campaigns, and do whatever is possible to get paid users.

But never think of getting paid subscribers, just on the basis of SEO from Google, it’s like a infinity dream in your sleep, which is never going to happen in 2026.

That’s a really good point about monetization – it feels like building the app is one thing, but getting people to actually pay attention is so much harder.
